Mount Toubkal Trek – Hiking in the Jebel of Toubkal – 4 Days

    Mount Toudkal Trek through the Atlas Mountains and up to very top of North Africa’s highest peak is a wonderful challenge for the hiking enthusiast. It is also difficult: Toubkal’s summit is 4,167 meters above sea level, so the going will be tough at times and would-be Toubkal trekkers need to be prepared. You must also remember that this beautiful region is many people’s home, and it is vital to respect this. Following the tips below can help ensure a safe and fulfilling experience (although, of course, be sure to get a thorough list of advice and equipment from your group organizer).

Day 1 : Marrakech – Imlil – Refuge

     After breakfast in your hotel in Marrakech, our driver will pick you up at 8h30 and take you to the High Atlas Mountains, where the trip starts from Imlil (1,960 m), toward the Toubkal Massif pass through the Sidi Chamharouch (2,350m) We will arrive at the first Refuge (3,206m), our stop for the night. Approx 4-5hrs walking.

Day 2 : Walk upwards – Training Day

     Today we have to get up early in the morning, have breakfast and start the climb.We walk slowly, towards the Tizi n’Ouagane pass. We will use this day to put into practice your rock climbing skills. You will have the possibility of reaching the mountain pass then through to Timesguida (4088m), We go back down and start the climb towards the Ras We all arrived at Ras (4083m), back to the refuge for a well-deserved hot drink and a relaxing afternoon. 6 hours walking.

Day 3 : Ascent of Jebel Toubkal

     The most awaited day: this time for the ascent summit at Toubkal ( 4,167 m ) Then, we will return to the refuge ( 3,207 m ) to spend the night in time for a late lunch. 6 hours walking.

Day 4 : Return to Imlil – Lunch – Taxi to Marrakech

     After the descent, to Sidi Shahroush (2350 meters) we have lunch and then we take the same way back to Imlil. A driver is waiting for you. Return to Marrakech.
